Synth Single Review: “Come Visit Me This Summer” by Shadow Recall

by Karl Magi

Shadow Recall’s “Come Visit Me This Summer” sharply surges with foundations cutting forward before percussion hypnotizes with rhythmic energy, forceful and moving with dramatic weight. A hush of softness falls above, tracing like the softest summer winds through a subtropical landscape. Like a trickling stream, a melody flashes silver in moonlight.

As a note pattern seizes with dramatic gentleness, it flows into melodic motion with an evocation of impassioned attachment and profound affection, a delicate touch in my mind. Below, the evenly beating patterns and rushing pulsations move with a whispering voice-over that captures dreams of past summer nights with incredible caring.

In contrast, battering power suffuses the towering rhythm below the evocative tones that reflect two lovers entwined in the silvery moonlight, longing to stay in this moment forever. Tranquility drifts like a glowing light before the music eases to an end.
