Synth Single Review: “One In A Million” by Galaxy Hunter

Galaxy Hunter’s “One In A Million” explores a powerful attraction. The song starts as thunder strikes and an explosive synth spills out with dazzling radiance. The foundation is huge and propulsive while a sliding synth erupts forward and Galaxy Hunter’s voice is whispering and shadowy as it captures the passion in the lyrics. Drums stutter before they leap forward with a disco flare, creating a massive and addictive groove.
The chorus calls out with intensity and desire while hard-hitting percussion punches. The synth bursts out with ferocious luminosity while the hammering underlayer is unstoppable. I enjoy the way in which Galaxy Hunter catches hold of all of the ardent emotion in the lyrics while tonal patterns splash with flaring light. The distinctive vocal performance slips with engaging dynamism while the steadily driving underlayer is irresistible. The chorus vaults skyward with fervent expression and glowing notes rise while the pumping low end charges before silence falls.
Telling the song’s subject that “you intoxicate my senses while breaking all the rules,” our storyteller says that she won’t let his “spirit off your hands” as she makes him blind like a fool. He adds that he is running out of chances on his way to paradise while “looking for some weak alibis, ignoring my own advice.”
The narrator has lost control of his body and soul “just to see you igniting fire in your eyes.” He trembles when she is close and tries to drown his fears, but he can’t hide from the mirror. He adds, “you’re one in a million, queen of dominion,” explaining that he needs the other person lying next to him because “your heat feels so divine.”
“You electrify my senses, I’m always longing for your touch,” and our storyteller can feel the other person’s presence intensely, adding, “I guess I never felt it too much.” The song’s subject expects his true devotion as they hover on the line between pleasure and pain. Our storyteller concludes, “I’m lost in the storm of wild emotions, chains of love burning into flames.”
