Synth Single Review: “Remember” by FM Attack & Betamaxx
by Karl Magi
FM Attack & Betamaxx’s “Remember” is a lithe voyage through nostalgia. The track opens as scintillating notes swell in gentle billows that wrap around the listener like clouds on a rainy day. Lapping sounds create a trance-inducing sensation before reverberating drums tremble with richness and the bass adds a creamy low pulse.
The drum beat cruises in with a laid-back glide while an elevated synth exudes crystalline effulgence and the melody transmits graceful relaxation. Sailing tones spill out like a single shaft of sunlight once the rain has stopped and the low end moves with assured elegance.
The guitar has an easygoing timbre that is limber and full of tenderness, carrying a slipping melody that moves past with blue tranquility. A robotic voice asks if one remembers yesterday while frolicking notes shine with pearlescent light, moving me into a realm of pure calm and undiminished warmth.
Flashing notes oscillate with opalescent sheen while the vibrating bass mingles with pulsing drums to create shaping influence. The entire track gives off pure relaxation as it unfolds, burnished and serene, while the rhythm guides. An ethereal sound fills the background while the guitar intertwines with mystical light before the track closes out.
