Synth Single Review: “The Lost Pyramid” by The Blue Book Project

by Karl Magi

The Blue Book Project’s “The Lost Pyramid” exudes enigmatic mystery as hypnotizing note patterns fall enigmatically across a field of bass. Tones reflect interdimensional radiance flash while drums march in thoughtful lines. Impressions of deep time and ancient knowledge are carried in metallic notes, echoing with shimmering gentleness. A journey into strangeness and shadow unfolds with the haunting melodic refrain, suffused with all of the eldritch power of unknown civilizations.

As the melody shivers, I am drawn in and suddenly excited by the rising energy that erupts from intensely accelerating percussion. As iridescent notes jump and fly, images of a journey across transdimensional space fill my mind while the melody captures the dynamic thrill of travel at exhilarating velocity. Meditation returns with steadily circling synth breathing out while images of structures obscured by time and full of forgotten wisdom permeate me. The track closes into introspective contemplation.
