Synth Single Review: “Cryobotica” by Isidor
by Karl Magi
Isidor’s “Cryobotica” erupts into being with brassy notes blasting out over madly twirling arpeggios before the rhythm accelerates and the main melody cries out with irresistible dynamism, a theme which captures exciting events in a cascade of glowing light. Heavily pounding underpinnings generate a feeling of indomitable strength while the main theme shines with adventurous drama, arpeggios arcing and swirling with forceful brilliance.
A leaping melodic pattern climbs to the sky, glinting like metal in the sun as sweeping notes slowed above spinning arpeggios. After a brief pause, a synth solo flies out with wild, robotic intensity before the track stutters into fragments and resumes the bending solo with freedom and arcing energy.
The piece speeds with intertwining madness before the trumpeting motif refracts sunlight and the pumping foundation charges forward. I am animated by the music here, called to action by the vibrant synth before the track closes.
