Synth Single Review: “Lucid Dream” by Cassetter & Cyter

Cassetter & Cyter’s “Lucid Dream” is an oneiric voyage. The track begins with broad notes expanding outward as tranquility flows from them and velvety breath exhales. A reverberant melody spreads peaceful relaxation above energetic percussion while hollow, pipe-like tones create an anti-gravity serenity over the rebounding rhythm. Brilliant strings entangle and drift magically as rich bells flicker. The underpinnings briefly fall away and lacy synth traceries ripple for a moment.

The propulsive underlayer presses forward while echoing notes convey illuminated strength. Entwining tones carry me away from an anxiety-ridden world into a place of calm. As the percussive heartbeat drops out, irradiating sounds spangle and extended tonal patterns hover. Washing brilliance pours from elevated notes that gleam like crystal glass. A tightly wound yet delicate vibration trembles before the pulsing low end fades. Deep bass fills the music as widely drifting tones dance with laid-back smoothness, the drums throbbing briefly before the track closes.
