Night Habits & DarkO’s “Through the Dark” explodes with exuberance and an ‘80s drum beat that accelerates vigorously as an electric guitar charges sharply and the melody flies in with irrepressible positivity. DarkO’s resonantly expressive voice is touched by glistening chimes, carrying hope for the future.
The guitar adds a galvanizing energy to the deep and full vocal performance which seizes my soul. A continual heartbeat drives while the guitar evokes freshness and lively feelings, transmitting the melody with clarity. The full spectrum of affection and attraction spills out of DarkO’s voice while the underlayer pulses.
A synth broadcasts solar brilliance as the vocals rise with uplifting strength. Freedom and love are threaded through by exhilarating guitar and synthesizer tones above the thundering percussion. A sense of new possibility spills through the music as the vocals climb with encouragement and the guitar flows into silence.
Wanting to be held by the song's subject, the main character asks them to “tell me all your dreams, tell me how the future will be." He never expected to feel the way he does and says, “I've been waiting so long for this moment to come, I will never let this go. "
Our storyteller adds that, “this is our chance, this is our time to never stop from dreaming.” He reassures the song’s subject that he’ll arrive before them to “guide you through the dark.” He wants to be held again and adds, “hold me in your arms and make this feeling right ‘cause there's no one else tonight.”
To conclude, the narrator says, “Take me in control, show me how the world can be into your eyes so I can see.”
