Synth Single Review: “Invisible” by Megatronix

by Karl Magi

Megatronix’s “Invisible” delves into dark, cybernetic heroism as raging power lashes at ominous piano notes and looming underlayers. A hush hangs on the edge before exploding into galloping beats and a rushing piano line. Dark Rob’s storming guitar chugs while Power Rob’s dramatic voice pours out growing threat.

Titanically muscled sounds batter the underpinnings with unrelenting force as the chorus breaks like lightning from storm clouds. All the internal tension grows with adrenaline-pumping strength as Power Rob’s vocals compel me. Increasing intrigue and a battle building to a breaking point are broadcast with unmistakable force. Rattling like gunfire, the drums support the flying vocal line.

Drilling tones move with a haunting choir before Dark Rob’s guitar tears with tremendous anger, his solo conveying a ferocious fight. Wheeling with penetrating radiance, a synth suffuses the track with rising uplift, contrasting with the howling vocals before the song closes on piano notes.

It’s a “cybernetic insurgency that you can’t imagine,” and a diplomatic backup plan that “you might call a legend.” Our narrator is a little nervous, but “never helpless.” He feels the pressure in the moment and speaks of “Shadow Moses” as the myth that meets the mission.

As midnight approaches, the storyteller realizes the weight of that fact. He is about to meet “the metal in disguise.” He’ll become invisible and “infiltrate the impossible,” pointing out that when you’ve gone down to the wire, you have to push the limit.

“I’ll be invisible when I face the invincible,” as our narrator understands that with a fight to conclude, it’s a matter of do or die as you live it. He talks about a “supernatural agency” which operates on “the bleeding edge of technology and cold calculations.”

There’s a demonic will “embedded in genetics,” and in a moment, Shadow Moses will be the myth that meets the mission.
